‘’CLASS REPORT’’

I have observed a class taken place in the technical high school CECYTE 13 located in Purepero Michoacán. It is a group of the major of electronics. There are twenty three male students between fourteen and sixteen years old. Their level is elementary and the purpose of the class is to consolidate the past tense structure practicing it in an interactive way.

· The teacher has arrived greeting the students and setting them in a circle around the classroom.

· Students were given personality cards, they were told to pretend being the character of the card and assume all the information in it.

· Teacher gave instructions, students need to interview each other, at least five classmates and try to remember the information collected.

· Students did it, some of them struggled elaborating the questions correctly or giving the correct form of the past tense, however they helped each other while teacher were monitoring.

· In the second stage of the class, the teacher elicited information about the characteres, they respond with the information previously obtained.

E.g. Where Michael was born? When did he move to Mexico?

· In this stage teacher corrected some errors, explaining them on the board and making some choral drill for difficult words.

· The students were engaged in the interaction as they played other roles and participated actively; they have good rapport with the teacher.

· The teacher general mood has been enthusiastic, as she smile and is energetic, she try to influence students’ enthusiasm.

· The objective of the class was achieved in terms of speaking trying out language previously learned.

· The class lasted fifty minutes.
